I was up at the Lakes this past week and reached out on an Okoboji Facebook page about coffee shops in the area. I received lots of great suggestions, so I tried a different place every morning. I ordered the same drink at each location (iced turtle latte with skim milk), and while they were all good, there was one that rose to the top - Black Earth Java. It was so delicious that I had to go back a second time. I’m giving it an A+ for its perfect blend of syrups, the only place that offered whip on top, plenty of drizzle, and topped with a chocolate covered coffee bean. It was quite heavenly. ❤️ It will be my go-to coffee stop whenever I’m back in the lakes area. Thank you for a great experience!

3 Yeats now black earth Java has been my go too.. it blows Starbucks out of the water and half the price. They support and reach out to help the community and the owners are a sweet loving couple

This is the best staff, coffee, and environment combo! Every staff member is extremely sweet and attentive to needs of customers. I don’t typically tip baristas at large chains, but here it’s at least 20% every time. Their kindness has brightened my day more than I can count. I’m not sure of her name, she has a nose ring and dark red/brown hair, but she helped me today and apologized for the wait in such a genuine matter. I have seen her before and hope to see her each time after. She’s my Java queen ❤️

Coffee was fine, just takes a long time standing in line to order. Probably 15 min to order and 10-15min for your order. The spot they are in is pretty cool, so we sat around while our 5yr Old played with the kids coffee set

Cute place, inside a hot tub /spa place. Great service, didn't have to wait to long. Friendly staff. I got the pink Starburst lotus drink and it's delicious!
