Black Oak Bed and Breakfast

We stayed here for our Yosemite trip. Great stay with kind and knowledgeable hosts. The mattress was comfortable, and the delicious breakfast they prepared was the cherry on top. We enjoyed great conversations with them. Since it’s in a remote area, we were able to view the stars in the big backyard. The stay felt homey and unique, as if we were invited to stay at a family’s house. 100% recommend this place if you plan to stay in Mariposa and Yosemite.

John and Kathy and their 2 dogs were awesome! Beautiful clean place not far from park. John makes an awesome breakfast and Kathys attention to detail is great! We had a wonderful visit and if we ever come back to Yosemite we would stay here again! Thank you Kathy and John! You made this part of our trip special!

Black Oak BnB was the most outstanding Bed and Breakfast we have ever experienced. Kathy and John welcomed us into their GORGEOUS home. The room was absolutely immaculate, beyond comfortable with everything we could ever need..huge bed, beautiful bathroom, A/C, Just outside the room is a beautiful sitting area outside in the nature. Their hospitality was just out of this world. John made 10/10 breakfast every morning. They gave us all the information we needed for the park and nothing was too much!!! When we left early in the morning, they packed us an DELCIOUS breakfast to take with us. We did our washing there with absolute ease. And the dogs are so sweet! OUr time in Yosemite was made extra special by staying at Kathy and Johns.

My wife and I stayed for three nights in early June, 2017. I had already booked another place when I accidentally ran across Black Oak B&B on Trip Advisor. What a lucky accident! We stayed in the corner room in the main house. It was roomy and nicely decorated. A sliding glass door allows you to enter and exit without going through the house. Everything in the room was very comfortable. The bathroom was very nice and I particularly liked the large shower. ||||A bottle of Chardonnay and a couple of beers were chilling in the small fridge that sits discreetly in a small alcove in the room. A Keurig sits on top the fridge. A serving tray on a nearby dresser holds wine glasses, mugs, Keurig pods, etc. Wonderful!||||Breakfasts were excellent. We actually stayed in the above-garage apartment on the property, as the two bedrooms in the house were already booked. The apartment is spacious, clean, and lovely, and extremely comfortable. The B&B itself is beautiful, inside and out-lots of wood indoors, stone fireplace, high ceilings, and space. Innkeepers John and Kathy are friendly and down-to-earth, and make you feel immediately welcome.||||The B&B is in the country, but just a few miles from the town of Mariposa. We heard owl and coyote while we were there, and the stargazing is mind-blowing; we get excited in San Jose when we can see the Big Dipper--here you see the Milky Way.
