Excellent service, food delicious, best coleslaw ever tasted served with huge fish and chips, whiskey burger, chili was great also. Beer cold. Stayed in their RV site with full hook ups, only $50 quiet, clean and plenty of room. Town is very cute with more than enough stores to explore.

I enjoy the food here but was told that it was priced for tourists and we usually spend twice as much to eat here as anywhere else; sometimes it’s nice to go where everybody knows your name.

This was worst place to eat tonight food was cold after waiting 1 1/2 hours to be served. Ask for steak tips to be well done they came out bloody red. Ice tea had no flavor taste like water. Other people complained about their meals being cold as well. Worst service and food I have ever had. My husband thought he would take me out for my birthday to have good time and meal that didn’t happen black bear food was the worst tonight. I asked for a take out box to show everyone how uncooked meat was and it was cold in the restaurant.

We have been to the Black Bear Tavern multiple times since the new owners took over. What used to be spotty service and food, now is consistently very good food and service! Very well run with reasonable pricing. Highly recommend, hats off to the new owners on a wonderful job!

Steak tips were little chewy not great flavor, mashed potatoes were plenty good but the veg medley was not for me. Mac n cheese was good and big portion. Service was good for being a busy night. About $75 dinner with no alcoholic drinks. Not cheap but not crazy expensive.
