Customer Reviews
Well this is my first time eating at a Black Bear Dinner. I was immediately greeted and since I was by myself I sat at the little bar area by the kitchen. Looking into the kitchen I noticed how clean it was even though they were busy. The waitress took my order quickly and was very knowledgeable about on the menu. I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs. It also comes with choice of bread so I chose biscuits that was also given the option to have with gravy so I did. Took about 10 minutes to get my food they were a little busy. So when the food came out I couldn’t believe my eyes. This was enough food for 2 to 3 adults I’m not kidding. The eggs were cooked just as I asked. The biscuits were 4 whole biscuits covered in gravy on a completely separate plate. The home style potatoes must ha
I've been to other Black Bear Diner's however this Reno location is the BOMB! Awesome restaurant, warm and cozy atmosphere. So much to see once you get inside. The food is old school good, so delicious and hot. The service is great too. You gotta go!
By far the best steak and eggs I have ever had. The portions were beyond generous and I could food coma myself off the biscuits. I decided to cut the steak and eggs in half and make two biscuit sandwiches. The steak was so tender it fell apart nearly as easily as the biscuits with each bite. The best kind of meal after a day on the slopes at Palisades.
I love this Black Bear Diner. I've been here multiple times over the years, and every time the service and ambiance are fantastic. I have had the luck of having a girl named Montana as my server for the last two visits, and she is just delightful! I usually get the Corned Beef Hash and Eggs, with a side of Pancakes. The last time, they must have gotten a new cook or were in too big of a hurry (since they were busy) as nothing was crispy as CB Hash should be. But I guess I should have specified to please make the CB Hash and Hashbrowns extra crispy. I did that today with the Bacon on my BLT, and they nailed it! Kudos to the management, they run this place very well. This will be my new Saturday or Sunday morning spot for a great way to start the day!
I want to shout out the waitress Jessica. She’s doing such an amazing job in Black Bear Diner. My family and I were extremely grateful for her service. We are from out of town and wish to have this type of treatment all the time.
