Bistro Mistral - Bellaire

My husband and daughter and I had dinner at Bistro Mistral for the first time a few nights ago. The staff were incredibly welcoming and provided excellent service. The food was delicious. We started with the foie gras appetizer, which was generously portioned and incredibly tasty. My daughter enjoyed the beet and arugula salad, while my husband savored the lamb lollipops. I highly recommend the lamb; it was absolutely delicious. I also ordered the cassoulet with duck confit, Toulouse sausage, and pork belly. However, I was a bit disappointed with my dish. The meats were cooked to perfection, but the white beans tomato ragout overpowered the flavors of the meat.

Excellent lunch and true to french cuisine. Starter La Salade Frisee Aux Lardons with perfectly cooked egg, one of the best Boeuf A La Bourguignonne I have had in US, lovely snapper plate (which they accomodated well my request for sauces and sides to be served separately from fish), and outstanding chocolate cake. Delightful and delicious lunch in soft, quiet, attractive surroundings.

We recently celebrated a birthday dinner at Bristol Mistral, and the evening was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt warm, elegant, and perfectly suited for a special occasion. We began with the pan-seared foie gras, which was beautifully prepared — rich, delicate, and perfectly balanced. It set the tone for what turned out to be an extraordinary meal. The Lobster Pot Pie was indulgent and comforting with tender lobster and a perfectly flaky crust, while the Ravioli Saint Jean was refined and flavorful, showcasing impeccable technique and depth. The Beef Tenderloin was cooked flawlessly — tender, expertly seasoned, and absolutely memorable. Every course felt thoughtfully executed and worthy of the celebration. And then dessert… The Chocolate Fondan

This cafe is spectacular and reminds me of the cafes in paris. The space is casual but elegant and the food is delicious yet homey. I had the trout and it was cooked perfectly and my sister had the chicken which was also cooked perfectly and had an amazing sauce on it. Even the veggie sides of asparagus and green beans were cooked perfectly. I already look forward to coming back to try the rest of the items on this menu.

Food Fabulous! The Service fabulous…But….. Way too noisy they need some carpeting. It’s a small place. Very cute— The owner so lovely… but we mentioned the chairs were very uncomfortable …It is a pity they did not do an $upholsteted chair. The owner listened —said he was having someone come in about the noise. Other people had mentioned how noisy it was. There were only four of us and we had to almost yell. A wonderful delicious addition Bellaire .. The owner was so responsive. And he was asking what needed to be done to make it more comfortable. And they said a cushion would help or a small upholstered chair would be so French and comfortable. He did say he was already having someone come out to adjust the noise —-five stars for The owner not only listening, but being responsive. Which
