Birch and Bloom

What better way to end our Christmas season than a wonderful buffet on Christmas morning! The atmosphere was festive with a giant, decorated tree, a beautifully displayed arrangement of food items, and an omelette station. The tables were nicely set, and our service was top-notch. I couldn't remark more on how fresh and delicious everything tasted, with a wide assortment of delectables to suit everyone. The price point for the Christmas Brunch was on par with other nicely stocked establishments, and we left satiated and happy. We would recommend this restaurant as well as attending future events. Also, my greatest compliments to the staff for an absolutely outstanding service! (Not many pictures were taken due to our general hunger)

We celebrated my daughter's recent nuptials with dinner at Birch + Bloom this past Saturday. I want to truly commend the Valet staff for making us feel welcomed. Everyone of them showed exemplary customer service as we arrived and upon our departure. We had a big party so we were seated in the private dining room, which was beautiful. The host was very nice, as was our server, who showed our entire party her utmost patience. Speaking only to my order: the French 75 and the St. Louis Ribs were good. The Crab Cake was cold, and only one side was browned. Being from the DMV, where we love a good crab cake, I was disappointed. The Steak Frites...well...the fries and horseradish salsa verde were good! The steak...not good at all. I also ordered the Fried Brussels Sprouts. I didn't like the

We booked the cocktail glass to learn a few new drink recipes. Zac was the bartender who took care of us, not only did we learn new drinks but we learned history of the drinks as well. Zac was a fantastic bartender and took the experience from being something you could get at any bar to something that could only be found here. We will absolutely be back and we really, truly appreciate his service and atmosphere.

We were at Birch and Bloom for a business dinner, recently. The staff was incredibly accommodating and the service was fantastic. Walking into the space, it’s really stellar. Unfortunately, our group felt the food was unimpressive. I started with crab cakes that left much to be desired. We’re in VA, for crying out loud. My wife said her salad was good, especially noting the dressing. We both had steak, which was just ok. Dessert was just ok as well. All in all, the kitchen is the weak spot in this restaurant. The space has the wow factor. The front of the house has the service. The kitchen fails to live up to the high expectations set. It’s a case of over promising and under delivering. We would be willing to go back, but will expect a better culinary experience.

I went to the cocktail class and the bartender Zac was amazing! I English is not my first language but he was so understanding and nice to me! Drinks were delicious! Amazing bartender!! The attention to the client is incredible
