Billy Sims BBQ

I'm a bbq guy and I've had it all over the country. I grew up in the Carolinas where whole hog Pulled Pork is king. I lived in Texas a couple years where Brisket is king. For the last 30 plus years I lived in Las Vegas where we had a ton of bbq restaurants featuring different regions like Texas , St Louis , Memphis , and touching on the Carolinas. Also places started by Celebrity Chefs , Mom and Pop , and Franchised Chains. Most in Vegas are more Texas style with touches of other regions for specific things or even some with an Asian Flair. Yesterday was my second visit to Billy Sims Bbq. A few people told me it wasn't very good , but I like to make my own opinion and some of the reviews I've read were half and half. I moved to Mustang 2 months ago and I've tried a couple different

The food was okay, but the dining area was visibly dirty. I would probably choose a place with waiters if the tip starts at 15%, because having someone take care of the dining area's hygiene and such would be better.

Great spot for some good BBQ. I would come here again. The Jalapeño Sausage link was sooooo good. Great flavor, perfect amount of heat. The chopped Brisket.....boom, way good. The flavor was right on, no sauce needed, ok maybe a little of their Hickory sauce. The ribs were great with the Hickory sauce. The flavor without the sauce was bland. Get some!!

Very friendly staff wonderful atmosphere kid friendly. Excellent customer service I love the decor feels like I’m right at home. The game on the TV is the right volume not too distracting if you want to watch it you can if you don’t you can ignore it. All the customers seem very friendly I love all OU the paraphernalia. Fairly priced I really would like to try their desserts but I got to pull off my baked potato which was awesome the best I’ve ever had in a while. It was well loaded the tea is wonderful a great place highly recommend this place bring the whole family.

I visited August 17, 2025, at around 4:15pm. I ordered a loaded spud with chopped brisket to go. My potato was the best I have ever received from there. I was so impressed that I called the restaurant back to get the two employees' names who waited on me. Shout out to Miguel and Hunter for excellent delivery and preparation of my food.
