Bill's Cafe - Pleasanton

Cozy, down to earth spot. The hostess was very nice and seated us quickly. Fernando was our server. He was quick, attentive, and friendly. Best freshly squeezed OJ in town! Food is a hit and comes quickly even when its busy. We got the country skillet and california eggs benedict. They have decent portions so we always go home with leftovers.

The service is unbelievable here. Great experience. Caring servers. Amazingly quick service. Food is beautiful and delicious!! Large portions. I ordered the chilaquiles👌

We went for breakfast with family & a kid. Food was very good. Service was good. Reasonably priced. Ample of Free parking.

We aren't regulars by any means, we've come to Bill's Cafe maybe 2-3 times a year for the past 3-4 years. Already we have seen a downturn. The portions have decreased noticeably but at least the flavors and quality were still good. However, during our most recent visit, my typical order of blueberry pancakes was undercooked. The inside was gray and gummy, outside dark brown, basically burnt. I took one bite and it was clearly raw. I sent it back. Our server then told me something along the lines of "they weren't undercooked but because of the blueberries, the pancakes were more moist." They made me new ones (in retrospect I wish I just canceled it) and they were not much better. Burnt on the outside and thin/flat, barely fluffy, but at least not completely raw like the first order. Breakfast is awesome. I have had a few different things and am always pleased. Service is quick and helpful. My drink never goes empty. My personal favorite is the bread pudding French toast with raisins and nuts inside and banana on top. The bourbon sauce is amazing and taste decadent.
