Big Whiskey's

Convenient location on the outskirts of downtown JC & a good sized parking lot. In late Sept, it was perfect weather for patio seating with a gentle afternoon breeze. Service was friendly and pretty quick. Food was tasty & arrived hot. I enjoyed my cheeseburger and fries while my friend ordered a shrimp dish with which she was very pleased. Drinks were cold and delicious. Big Whiskey's in Jeff City was a nice spot to have lunch & enjoy happy hour.

My wife said her steak was very good and all the food came out hot and correct! My son raved about the hot wings saying they were pretty good a nine out of 10! I had a burger I would say it was just an average burger nothing to ride home about the atmosphere was nice and the staff was attentive and friendly!

I rolled into Jeff City today for business, running on empty—hadn’t eaten all day. I hit “best restaurant/bar near me” and BAM! Big Whiskey’s pops up just two miles away. Pictures looked legit, so I pointed the wagon in that direction. The place is tucked inside an old warehouse factory that’s been fully rehabbed but still rocking its original character. Inside and out, it’s sharp—clean, warm, and welcoming, with that perfect blend of history and modern vibe. I grabbed a seat at the bar where Kendra, the bartender, greeted me right away. She introduced herself, walked me through the happy hour deals, and knew the menu like she wrote it. I told her I was craving a burger and asked what her go-to was. I went here looking for something filling to eat at night as someone passing through for work, and I was beyond surprised at how good the seared tuna and sautéed squash was. Arguably better and more filling than how I’ve had it at most other Japanese restaurants. So so good I was melting. Would come back for more!

Three of us arrived from out-of-town, we had no reservation, but we were able to be seated quite quickly, and during dinner, too. Staff was friendly, our waiter offered us suggestions, which was helpful. Food arrived quickly and fresh, the drinks were delightful. A sports bar is not my preferred scene, but overall it was a great experience.
