Holy smokes. I reluctantly went to Big Mikes tonight because it was the only food truck open. I’m not normally a BBQ fan but I needed to eat before I headed to the airport. The pulled pork sandwich may have been THE BEST SANDWICH I HAVE EVER HAD. Calling it a pulled pork sandwich doesn’t do it justice. It wasn’t that super sweet, stringy and fatty stuff that you buy by the pound from Costco. This was perfectly cooked big chunks of delicious pork on a soft but solid bun with a perfect sauce and the tastiest slaw I have ever had. Then the pickles. The vinegar brought it all together. On top of that, they had an elote side that was spicy and creamy. Fantastic. And the guys working were super nice. Beyond happy and pleasantly surprised with my dinner.
