Big Herm's Kitchen and Catering

This was my first time at Big Herm’s and I will be back whenever I’m craving soul food. They’re one of the few places open on Monday’s which is a nice perk and the food is great for the most part. I ordered the variety basket with mac and cheese,collard greens, and mashed sweet potatoes. Everything was so good I’d taken a couple bites before I remembered to snap a picture. The cornbread was so sweet and buttery and the Mac and cheese was baked really well. The greens were a little heavy on the vinegar which I don’t mind but if you don’t like vinegar don’t go with these. I also ordered the wings which were on a special today and they weren’t my favorite. The Buffalo sauce wasn’t the traditional taste I was expecting, but they were still okay as long as you don’t go in with that expectation.

This is not the first, fifth or tenth time I’ve ordered from this restaurant. And every time I receive my food it’s perfectly made. My go to meal is the Grilled Shrimp Salad and the Garlic Parmesan Wings. Awesome customer service. Food prepared in 30 minutes or less. Perfect spot to grab comfort food on the go.

I went here on my lunch break. Both the cook and server was nice with taking my order and getting my food out to me quickly. I ordered the catfish sub & the bbq wings with Mac n cheese. Will be returning soon and letting others know about this place. It is not a dine in spot only pick up.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the grilled shrimp salad!! It comes with roasted vegetables in the salad. I didnt know I liked zucchini and squash until I had this salad. Then the vinergarette is awesome!! Update: Also try the Buffalo Shrimp!! It is amazing, not too hot, perfection!! Michelle's pound cake is amazing as well and has a sauce that comes with it. I drizzle it on the pound cake.

I found this place while looking for lunch on the way home.... and it was good! I ordered the wing basket. The food was served hot! This is a take out place, so ask for extra napkins if you're eating in the car! I couldn't eat the macaroni because there was too much oil in it, but other than that, I enjoyed my meal! Customer service was top notch!
