Big Belly Deli Bagel Express

A 3.8 review for a business opened for only a few weeks. What's the problem? Wait time (mostly). PLEASE take your time to read before wasting your time on this place. This evening me and my grandparents decided to try this place out despite some negative reviews. What did I think? Honestly...disappointed. We ordered a BLT burger, cheesesteak sub, chicken cheesesteak sub with 2 orders of fries. Service: ONE STAR! We waited for 50 MINUTES. About 3 orders along with ours (mostly finished and ordered ahead of time) passed within the 50 minutes so OBVIOUSLY they were NOT busy. The service was slow and the workers were lazy, on and off their phones. 20 minutes later after ordering I noticed they were JUST starting to cook our food. This is completely unacceptable. Me and my dad went there a few days ago, great place. The staff were welcoming and respectful, and the place was very clean! We ordered two chess burgers and a turkey BLT, huge sandwiches & portions btw. The best part was that they also sold ice cream and snow-cones, which will be one of the reasons I would go back again lol. So far, the cook/owner I think, Drew, made one of the best BLT’s and burgers I ever had (better than a WaWa personally), but their bagels breakfast sandwiches were honestly the top 3 I ever had, which was really damn surprising in a small area in South Jersey. 10/10 recommend spot for breakfast. Also, they had like different kinds of Lays chips I have never even heard of lol. I brought 2 and they were weirdly good. Would buy again.

I want to start by saying two things. Firstly, I am not writing this in a malicious way and i seriously hope to see this place get its stuff together when it comes to cooking their menu. Secondly and with that being said please just go for the bagels for now. I ordered a plain burger, wings, hash browns and a BLT on a bagel. Everything was made correctly however they weren’t made well. The bacon was slightly undercooked and we ended up having to finish cooking it at home. The hash browns were extremely greasy and the burger was undercooked and borderline raw. They never asked me how I wanted my burger done and I don’t mind pink, but eating that is the quickest way to a callout from work because of food poisoning. The owners are incredibly kind and will make you feel special. They will not rush you while you make your selection, and believe me, it is not an easy one. The cooks have enormous orders and sincerely apologize for the wait, which is well worth it given the HUGE size and LOW cost! The bagels are soft and satisfying.

Store was nice, clean, and presentable. Cashier was soft spoken and hard to hear. Got charged for a croissant but received a Kaiser roll. Bagel was very chewy. Probably would not return based on price, quality, and overall experience unless things improve with time. General details: plenty of parking, good lighting and drink selection, clear menu boards, high tables and high swivel chairs available for on site eating. Did witness an older customer struggle with the weight of the door as they left.
