A lovely space all hours of the day. I’ve been before for dinner and made it there this morning to do some work and breakfast. The upstairs feels like a cozy chateau, the fireplace blazing and plentiful seating options. People are sharing tables, putting coats on the rack, chatting, and typing away. I sat near an outlet and wifi was quick and easy to log on to. Latte and bagel were fabulous and they brought both to my table. I can’t wait for it to get warmer so I can use their outdoor space once again!
Try sitting outside around the heater with your favorite people and furry friends and sip warm delicious latte! We had amazing time at Big bear cafe. Spinach&artichoke pizza was delicious, right out of the oven and each of us got mocha latte, brown sugar oat milk latte and white chocolate mint oat milk latte and everyone was happy with the taste of coffee! Warm, creamy and yummy! We sat outside around the heater with our dog, the atmosphere is relaxing and cozy even outside the building, and warm from the heat from the heater. Also, they only have freshly baked pastry everyday and do not keep their pastries for the next day. We visited 2hrs before the closing time and hanged out for a while and were given some free pastries nicely packed in a paper bag to try. I tried the muffin and it wa
Nice cafe, lovely setting, nice people. Friendly servers and smiley faces when you come in, lovely setting (vines on the outside of the building which made in look like an Italian place, and nice wooden tables inside and out), and nice atmosphere with a good soundtrack! Coffee and drinks were surprisingly cheap compared to the other places in Washington DC. Food was overpriced for what it was, which was the only small downside. Having said that, everywhere in DC seems v pricey!
Good vibes, but overpriced and extremely middling (to be generous) food and drinks. Also a mandatory service fee of 12%. Food: I didn't know a pizza could crunch (crust aside) until I ordered the Burrata & Prosciutto - it was the driest thing I've experienced since a trip out to Death Valley. Where was the pesto sauce?? Drink: Mulled wine was just heated up wine with a cinnamon stick dropped inside. Didn't seem to have any spices mulled in or brandy. London fog wasn't great either. Trivia was good, though it was hard to hear from downstairs. All-in-all I would really only recommend going to hang out in a cozy building with plenty of old wood rafters. Friendly service too, but keep in mind the mandatory 12% service fee.
I enjoyed a flat white and breakfast burrito here. The overall atmosphere was lovely to enjoy my breakfast and read for a bit. Lots of people were working from their laptops (they have wifi), chatting with one another, or grabbing something to-go. The staff was friendly, and there was ample seating inside and out even on a busy day. The drink prices are reasonable for DC.
