Big Apple Bakery & Restaurant

I bought a cinnamon roll to eat and fritters and a doughnut to gift. The cinnamon rolls and the fritters were huge. The cinnamon roll was delicious. Light and fluffy. I couldn't wait to eat it but paused to take a picture.

This place is not much to look at but boy is is good. Its apparently Greenwood's best kept secret because, as a 3year transplant who never goes on the East side of town, I didnt even know it existed! The only reason I found it is because my (previously) normal breakfast place decided it would no longer be open on Mondays. Well, sorry old place! I have a new breakfast stop. Their croissants are soooo good! Soft, buttery, flakey. The Turkey Egg and Cheese is my favorite. Plus it is clearly made to order and not pre-made then microwaved. The donut glaze is perfect. And they definitely dont skimp on the filling! To top it off, it has great prices. I was able to get a croissant sandwich, jelly filled donut, orange juice and a water for just under $10. I highly recommend.

My first visit to the Big Apple and it won’t be my last. The donuts are the lightest fluffiest donut I have ever had. I highly recommend!

The croissants were out of this world! Maybe not the best choice going to a doctors visit, considering I probably ingested an entire stick of butter with that soft, delicious croissant.. cream cheese filled doughnut was wonderful hours later, and the kids loved the glazed.

I miss going here. When we used to live in greenwood, we ordered from here all the time. Super soft, never hard donuts. Not in the prettiest of places of greenwood but nevertheless I highly recommend. If it wasn't so far from where we currently live, id make the drive because I miss their donuts. Better then dunkin that's for sure.
