Berlew’s Hoagies

Good customer service however a horrible sandwich. Only good thing was That was good Was the bread. however I spent almost $30. I had to come home and add my own condiments to it but this is being my first time eating There I was not impressed. The meat is pre-cut and very thick, but it is fresh however, if I’m paying $12 for a sandwich, I would like a $12 sandwich so I had nine pieces of meat, including the cheese. I believe the lettuce should be cut up very nice not big pieces. No love put into the sandwich. I was told that they are famous for a tuna so if I choose to go back, maybe I will get that But for hoagie, absolutely not. Good customer service though.

Update: returned to berlows and got their Italian Deluxe Hoagie with a bottle of Dr Pepper. This hoagie was bigger then the previous and packed with meat, cheese, and those healthy veggies. The bun was so soft it could have been made on sight. Second time now great food and service. Definitely a big recommendation! First time here, walked in was welcomed very friendly, told them first time here and they were glad I was trying them out. I got the Italian hoagie, 12 inch comes with oregano, lettuce, tomato, cheese, meat and dressing. I added sweet peppers and dumped the dressing for mayo. This was a very delicious hoagie, the bun was really soft, I could taste the freshness of the meats and cheese, this was a good afternoon lunch. Very nice shop with set daily special hoagies they also have a menu full of options. I agree with other reviews that the bread is soft and fresh, and the hoagies are loaded! You know, how everyone comments. "I wish the fast food looked like the pictures." Well, these do. I got the supreme tuna and was not disappointed. Tons of creamy tuna, cheese, lettuce, and tomato. My fussy son wanted just turkey and lettuce... Not even mayo. It was loaded with turkey breast and lettuce, and they did not mess up the specialty order. Now I'm not a saltaholic, so the tuna was a little salty for me, but all my co-workers love every type of hoagies that come from here! My first visit to Berlew's since moving from the Bronx. I had my eye on it since I first arrived and I am glad to say they did not disappoint! I got the Italian Deluxe, White Birch Beer, and they forced, FORCED me to get the homemade Bread Pudding (ok, they didn't force anything, I was overly willing). I love the old timey fridge and the super friendly people working there. The Italian Deluxe was absolutely delicious with fresh ingredients, crisp lettuce and tomato. (nothing is worse than a whimpy tomato...am I right?) This place is definitely worth a visit and I am sure you will be happy with your selection as I am!

New to the area. Always see cars out front so decided to try it for lunch. Ordered a roast beef sandwich and roast beef wrap. There were literally 4 pieces of sliced roast beef on the entire sandwich. 4 pieces...on a whole 12 inch roll. Same deal with the wrap. I am completely shocked with the lack of meat on these so called sandwiches! This is unacceptable. Other than that, the roll was decent and the lettuce and tomatoes were fresh.
