Ben's Chili

Ben's Chili Bowl in IAD Airport is a solid choice for a quick bite. You know what to expect. The iconic DC eatery lives up to its reputation with chili and classic American fare. I grabbed a grilled chicken salad, chili before a flight do not sound like a good idea. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a 50s diner. While it's not a game-changer, it's a convenient and decent option for airport food.

Took about 9 minutes with people's other orders, to get my breakfast sandwich. I was happy with that, but others weren't. I ordered via tthe kiosk, whichever recommend anybody to do. I would also took a picture of the order number, and I would also advise anybody else to do this. Because no receipt printed out, even though it offers it. I got a bacon egg sandwich and added cheese. You can actually choose what style egg you want... That was cool! Also, I had to run my credit card several times, and it finally worked. It's not an old card. Pictures, I don't like taking pictures of people, so I only took a few pics. I was here sunday, today, January 11th, 2026 around 1:19pm.

I like this place. The prices are fine since they are in an airport. I like that they have a kios, since it makes customizing orders easier. I've ordered twice here and the only flaw I had was I ordered a breakfast sandwich with the egg fried hard. It was not hard, more like medium since the egg was runny. That aside I like the option. If I'm travel via this airport out of concourse B I'll come back again. I have to mention they are fast, I like the non-pork options.

⭐⭐ I was excited to try this iconic D.C. institution at the airport, but my visit was a bit of a letdown. I ordered a small Ben's chili bowl, and for the price, it felt pretty average—not quite the "legendary" experience I was expecting for a $10+ airport meal. The Experience: Wait Times & Service: Even for a small order, the service was slow. It seemed like the staff were having a hard time following the order queue, which led to significant delays. Cleanliness: The seating area was quite messy. There was food leftover from previous guests on the tables, and it didn't look like anyone was coming around to clean them during my visit. The Atmosphere: Since this is a relatively new location (it opened in May 2025 near Gate B71), it felt like the team was still finding their rhythm. There

This is the kind of customer service you deal with way too often in America—zero accountability. I found multiple long hairs in my sandwich and calmly asked for a refund. Instead of handling it professionally, the employee caught an attitude and demanded I return the cup that still had ice in it. When I handed it back, she poured the ice directly onto my feet. 🤣😂At that moment, I had a choice: React EMOTIONALLY AND CAUSE ALL TYPES OF HELL!! BUT INSTEAD. I STAYED COMPOSED! For context— I FEEL LIKE SPITTING VENOM RIGHT NOW! BUT 🤐🤫 MY MOMMA SAID" IF YOU DON'T HAVE NOTHING NICE TO SAY THEN DON'T SAY NOTHING AT ALL!" Also, I’m trained in discipline, restraint, and professionalism, and I showed all three despite blatant disrespect. No customer should be treated this way. Poor hygiene and unp
