I’m going to be honest here, I think these people need to retire. Someone need to get their grandparents. The food was not soul food! May have used to been but not anymore. I was double charged bc the lady “didn’t know how to work the printer”. I came for some soulful collard greens and left with the sweetest cabbage ever. Black eyed peas were way too sweet as well. And the liver…… disappointing. The people seem sweet but I just think the place has reached its peak years ago and it’s time to close. They were getting change out of the tip jar

Excellent service, very kind and helpful. Amazing food. Highly recommended if you like soul food. Not far from I -20 its worth the detour (5-7min) I will be back the next time I am in town. (Social distancing implemented there wear mask please) I ordered the Chicken fried steak dinner with mashed potatoes and turnip greens with lemonade and buttermilk pie. Omgggggg 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Large portions also, I was not able to finish my dinner. Everything tasted amazing!

Dear America, you CAN NOT come to East Texas without stopping by Bel's Diner. Let me tell you whyyyyy!! First and foremost the kindest people greet you as soon as you walk in. Mrs. Pat & the crew are just good people. The cook who's the magician 🎩 has hands of gold. The food is so scrumptious and tasty you won't regret it. IF your looking for small amounts of food on your plate, then don't come here. The cook and staff serve with the BIG spoon. I had neck bones (that I covered in Louisiana HotSause 🤪), and finished the whole bottle. Mac-n-Chz that was so delicious (not your mother's mac-n-chz), way better. Also the okra was just different and so so so so good. I'm not sure what the cook puts in his food, I can tell you one thing from experience, I definitely know he puts a ton of love into

Great food and portions are generous! Beef tips and rice will melt in your mouth…and don’t pass up the mashed potatoes! Everything was outstanding! Will definitely be my go to next time I’m in the area!

The food is pretty good, nice portion. The menu is inconsistent and the service is a little slow giving that it's was only 1 person their trying to cook more food that wasn't avaliable yet. It's a small hole in the wall type family diner.
