Customer Reviews
As a member of Abbot Square, and one that has been around for a while, Belly Goat Burgers gave me good vibes and hope. Their menu has these big juicy burgers on them and, for a place that hits all the visual cues of a hipster brewery, it didn't seem all too expensive. All the menu options seemed unique and creative. I gave the Drunken Onion a try, along with two fried fish tacos and a side of fries. Although I ate them last, I'll start with the fries as they were the least notable. They were fine. Not too pricey for a nice big basket, but a little dry. I always like to try fried fish tacos. There are many unique ways to approach them, though they do retain a core identity, so you get to see the personality of the restaurant come through in a relatively subjective playing field. We were going for a burger on the same street but they didn't open until 5pm. So we were also curious to try a burger here. I didn't take a picture but it looked amazing! I had the Cowboy $15 Iceburg, tomato, smoked rogue blue, bacon jam, masa onion hay, chipotle ranch. The first bite was YUM. After that I was disappointed that the flavor disappeared. It was messy in a way that I thought it would be the bomb burger. The bun fell apart and it was top heavy, so I tasted a lot of the bun and not the burger. The beef as alright. Not sure what was going on but it got dry and fell apart. I didn't eat all of it just disappointed. My husband got Seoul Surfer $15.00 Kimchi, toasted sesame, BBQ;d smoked pork belly, fried egg, gochujang mayo. He also said the same thing, the bun just didn't work w
Found this place by chance after asking a couple of sophomores where was good to eat! Ordered a burger on its own and it was amazing! Great flavour, juicy, and just right! Great atmosphere outside in the evening with live music.
Solid burgers, great garlic fries. The beef has big flavor but the patties are 4 ounces too small. I ordered the surfer, maybe the cowboy is better or just get a plain burger to enjoy the beefy goodness.
Everything about this meal was disappointing. The flavor of the burger itself was tasty, but the bun tasted stale. The garlic fries were so over the top garlicky that they were almost inedible. From a service perspective, they gave me a pager that never went off because they coded with the wrong number. So on top of everything else, the food was cold.
