Bella Vista Pizzeria

Amazing food and great service. We came with a large group with little notice on a Monday night and they welcomed us with open arms. I sampled most of the Italian dishes and they were large servings and really good. I choose the steak and it was also good and I would’ve given them a top review anyway, However, I had a second visit the next day in search of my lost purse and Andreas (maybe the owner himself) went beyond over and above to help me locate my purse. Like amazing effort that saved me a day of stress that would’ve cost me a nice train trip with my family. My extended family who also lives close by told me later about how much comfort and compassion they have shown my aunt who is recently lost her husband, when she comes in. Arrived about 530 and absolutely no wait. Staff was excellent. I had the Canelloni which was very good. Pared with Pinot Noir. They did not have Sphagetti Carbonera on the menu..too bad. I noticed several people ordered the steak, so I might try the next time I go.

Phenomenal customer service! We showed up there with our granddaughter for a carry out order and the wait staff was very attentive. We took her to an area of the pizzeria that was closed at the time so we wouldn't disturb other diners and they opened it up for us...we did not ask for this. The pizza and calzone we very good as well.

Quaint, welcoming Italian restaurant, with delicious food and phenomenal service. The pizzas have ample toppings on a tasty, crispy crust, with just enough chew to it. A colleague got a Chef's(?) Salad that looked incredible and likely could have fed three people. Well worth the bit of a drive, from the "big city" of Anchorage. =)

Bella Vista holds a special place in my heart. My husband and I spent one of our first dates here a few years ago. From the very first time to many moons later, the food, dining experience, and service is excellent every single time. This past Saturday we ordered grape leaves, panicotta, New York strip steak, and baklava. The steak was a perfect medium rare. Our waitress was sweet and highly attentive the entire evening. Don't skip out on Bella Vista! It's a must have when you're visiting Alaska.
