BEIJING Restaurant

Heard about this place from a friend that said Beijing really knows how to do spicy and flavor balancing. I thought it was funny how the first thing I noticed when I walked in was that you could smell the spice! We had the General Tao’s Chicken lunch special, scallion pancakes, and a beef chow fun plate. The portion sizes are well worth the price and the flavors were all on point. We didn’t really find the General Tao’s to be spicy but I’m sure they have much spicier dishes that would knock me out lol. I’ve had troubles finding places in Utah with good beef chow fun, but this place definitely does it right! Overall, I’d highly recommend giving this place a try. The dishes we had give me confidence that the rest of the menu is just as good, or better.

This is the best Chinese food I’ve ever had, I’m not kidding I even tipped 30%. The hostess was so kind and the atmosphere was beautiful. The food came out fast and fresh and tasted AMAZING! The lemon shrimp brought tears to my eyes it was so good. The general Taos chicken was crispy and delicious. This is my husband and I’s favorite date night spot and I cannot sing the praises enough. TRY THIS PLACE!!!!

As my time in SLC is coming to an end, my goal is to eat as much as I can at all the local joints before I head home where we don't have all these fun options. My sister and I were actually looking up dinner options last night while we were at dinner. We like to plan ahead. We wanted some chow fun, did some research and found Beijing. This joint is about 10 minutes away from our Airbnb. We pulled up, walked in and was in awwww at how pretty this joint is. It was bright, colorful and beautifully decorated. It's one of the prettiest Chinese restaurants I have seen in town. It was slow so my sister and I got sat right away. We ordered our hot tea and dinner at the same time. I was very pleasantly surprised by how good the dishes are. Everything was flavorful and well made. Just note that the food is a bit spicy—more like real Sichuan spice. Highly recommend if you enjoy heat!

This Chinese restaurant is truly a hidden gem! The food is cooked to order, arriving hot, fresh, and absolutely spectacular. The General Tso’s Chicken was perfectly balanced with just the right amount of flavor and heat, the Lemon-Crusted Shrimp was crisp and delightful, and the Mongolian Beef was tender, savory, and to die for. Everything tasted fresh and carefully prepared. The atmosphere was calm—not overly busy—making it a wonderful dining experience from start to finish. Without a doubt, this is one of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve ever been to. Highly recommended for anyone seeking authentic, delicious, and memorable flavors. Highly recommended 👌
