Bed and Breakfast at Mallard Bay

Amazing stay! Spotless rooms with all of the room to roam! Hot tub, Board games,Tether ball, crab pots, and so much more! We are never bored, and the blueberry pancakes are famous with us! We come back as often as we can but it will be annual we hope now. 🤞🏻🪻💜🍁🪅🏕️ Our favorite destination and by far worth our travels all the way from Michigan. The least we could do is upload our favorite views. A locally hidden gem with all of the connections to a very locally immersive cultural experience. Even one for us. We loved our three nights at Phoebe’s B&B. Nicely situated in a quiet neighborhood backing up to the Intracoastal Waterway, it is an easy drive to Topsail beaches and Wilmington. Access to kayaks and use of beach gear (chairs, umbrellas) thanks to Phoebe’s hospitality. Her guidance to area attractions and restaurants is valuable. She stays downstairs on-site should you encounter issues, but you’d never know she’s there if that’s your preference. We preferred her company and wonderful conversation at breakfast and after our daily excursions.

I had a lovely stay with Phoebe while visiting NC from PA for a wedding. She directed us to restaurants and beaches while providing us with phenomenal breakfasts and stories of her own travels. I would stay with her again in a heartbeat, and will look for any reason to come back!

We had an amazing stay at Phoebe's home. She took so much care if us. We could use the kayaks, she also gave us towels for the beach and also for the hot tub. The house is located directly at the water. Perfect location with beautiful view on the water. The home is very clean and lovely. She served us amazing breakfast every morning. We loved it! Highly recommend!

On arrival we were met by the hostess and owner of this lovely home, Phoebe, she was kind and gracious showed us her home and supplied books of things to do in the area. The house is wonderful sits about a stones throw back from a breach way that runs between hamstead and topsail island. She has a small dock on the water and provides kayaks or canoes for short paddles around the area although we did not use these this trip. Lots of trees and a big lawn with lots of birds and birdsong everywhere. Just peaceful. The house is beautifully maintained. There is a hot tub for use under the porch that was wonderful for a soak after a hot day and lots of walking. She has a sun porch that was nice for sitting and reading and watching boats go by.
