Bebop Korean-Mexican Grill has quickly become one of my favorite fusion restaurants in town, and their bulgogi offerings are nothing short of spectacular. As someone who appreciates both Korean and Mexican cuisines, I was intrigued by their concept but utterly blown away by the execution. The star of the show for me is undoubtedly their bulgogi fries. This dish perfectly balances the sweet, savory notes of Korean bulgogi with the indulgent comfort of loaded Mexican-style fries. The fries themselves are crispy yet fluffy, providing the perfect canvas for what comes next. I’m genuinely confused. Korean food is famous for bold, spicy flavors. Mexican food is famous for bold, spicy flavors. Somehow, Bebop combined them and managed to create the culinary equivalent of white noise. I ordered the Korean Chicken Bowl, and it had absolutely zero personality. It was shockingly bland—like it was cooked with a fear of seasoning. I was expecting a "fusion" of spices, but instead, it tasted like boiled chicken that looked at a chili pepper once from across the room. If you’re advertising "Korean-Mexican," I expect a punch of flavor, not a gentle tap. Disappointed.

We came here after seeing this place on Instagram, but it was a huge disappointment. At Bebop Mexican Korean Restaurant in Fairfax, we ordered a double burger, large fries, a Mexican-style chicken bowl, and two glasses of Coke. With tip, the total came to $50. • A single glass of Coke was $8, which is outrageous. • The fries were completely flavorless. • The bowl was also bland and tasteless. • The only thing somewhat decent was the burger, but even though we ordered it “double,” it was still very small. There are plenty of other spots in the city where you can get much better halal burgers for the same price. On top of that, they charge a 4% service fee plus you’re still expected to tip. Been this place about 5 times and evey time the food is great!! I have gotten the regular/spicy gogi burger and the gogi burritos mexican style. Food always fresh and hot. They have a lot of great options and the customer service is always top tier. Cute little spot if you want to dine in.

Uneven but tasty fusion-ish meat meals! Took the family to Bebop Korean-Mexican Grill after seeing them written up in the April 2025 Northern Virginia magazine "Best Burgers" edition. We are big fans of both Korean and Mexican food so we were excited to experience how Bebop could merge the two. TL/DR: The food was tasty and the meats were well-seasoned and garnished with delicious sauces. Execution was uneven with the burgers done well but the bowls a confused mess. We ordered two burgers, the Gogi and Carne, both single patties and simply done. Both rated solid thumbs up for taste and texture. We felt the patties were a bit thin though. The Carne Steak and Cheese sub was an explosion of meat, flavors, sauces, and soft bun. This sandwich was rich and intensely satisfying...but the bun
