Beaver Lake Heavenly Hideaway

Loved all the attention to details.. like the chocolate mints on our pillows, robes to wear after the hot tub, reading materials, scrumptious homemade breakfast served on her China, etc. I couldn't help but relax as we sat in the porch swing at sunset, felt the cool gentle breeze, and took in the view of the lake from their front porch - it was totally relaxing! Jeff and Nancy were just so hospitable and we thoroughly enjoyed visiting with them. Such good people!!!

The area was amazing! The home and my room were lovely and so clean. I had my own bathroom. Nancy and Jeff were very personable, helpful, and laid back. I felt nurtured and nourished from my stay.

The view of the lake is incredible, unfortunately the hosts are extreme fundamentalists preppers who are highly paranoid of the government and believe the end of the world is happening this year. There are multiple pieces of literature in the room that reiterate their fundamentalist ideals and include extremely discriminatory language towards the Catholic religion. The homemade breakfast was nice but they were waiting for us to get up to eat together and we were forced into their religious practices of holding hands and saying a prayer before eating. This is not something me or my husband partake in nor did they ever ask us if we felt comfortable in doing so. None of this was expressed in the Expedia listing and we were extremely taken aback.
