Bear's Restaurant

One of the best roast beef poboy’s I had in awhile. Recently moved to Covington and was told to check this place out. They do have limited hours and days they are open which is a bummer because I would love to eat here more often but due to my work schedule and the hours they are open it’s a bit hard. They seem to get very very busy so keep that in mind if you are in a rush or limited for time maybe try calling in your orders ahead of time. I will definitely be back again if I get the opportunity and would definitely recommend this place to anybody.

I went to Bears restaurant for the first time last week. I ordered a shrimp on bun which was amazing and a roast beef poboy. Everything I ordered was very hot and fresh. However my roast beef poboy literally had no gravy. The poboy just had hot roast beef equivalent to lunch meat and was dressed with mayo , lettuce, pickle, and tomatoes. I decided to go back in Bear’s and express that my roast beef poboy had absolutely no gravy so I was then offered a “cup of gravy”. I respectfully declined because had I asked for my gravy on the side , that would have been okay. I never requested a refund because those were not my intentions. What I did expect was to at be offered to have my poboy remade with gravy (the way the order was initially placed). The manager told me it was nothing she could do i

Must be me because its very popular, but I found the roast beef poboy average at best. Bread needs to be toasted, way to heavy on the mayo and the roast beef seemed store bought. It was deli sliced and not like a roast with debris

Haven’t been in a decade and was quickly reminded how amazing this place was. Roast. Beef. Poboy. Fully dressed with fries. That is all you need to know. I had the second half of it this morning and I just had to go leave a review. Seating could be better, and a little bit of a wait. But absolutely worth it.
