Beacon Hollow Farm Bed & Breakfast

Great location on a working farm. Accommodations are simple... reminded me of staying at my great grandparents' house as a child. No tv or wifi but electricity and cell service. |If you are traveling in the winter, be aware that the heating unit is in the center room leaving the bedrooms and bathroom without direct heat. Pack warm pjs... we didn't and ended up sleeping in our street clothes.

This was an incredible place to stay! It was so beautiful and peaceful! The animals were an added joy. We enjoyed watching the cows go in to be milked. We even got to pet them.They also have turkeys and chickens, beautiful dogs too! The breakfast was the best of our trip! Homemade blueberry, granola crunch yogurt parfait’s, homemade bread with homemade strawberry preserves , they even brought farm fresh eggs to cook as well. The people were kind and friendly Amish folks. Not lavish, but a simple place to stay with the bonuses being things you can’t ordinarily get. This is a rare experience! Snap it up and treat yourself!

The owner of the house can take you around the farm when he/she is available, show you the farm animals and give you information about what they do on the farm. The breakfast is very delicious, my favorite is creamy yoghurt on granola and blueberries on top. Sit on the porch and enjoy the beautiful view, birds singing, farm animals playing, fireflies blinking in the dark. A perfect place away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

My family and I (three adults and 2 children) stayed at Beacon Hollow Farm for two nights and we were happy at this cozy B&B. Anna's breakfast was scrumptious and Ben showed us around the family dairy farm. My 4 year old toddler absolutely had a wonderful time meeting all the farm animals. There is a little area for children to play, and kitchen is fully stocked with all utensils you may need for your stay. We were happy that there was air condition in the living room as the days we vacationed were humid. The bedrooms have a portable fan, but if you leave the bedroom doors open at night the coolness from the AC in the living room is enough to keep you comfortable. My husband and I had a wonderful 5 night stay at Anna and Ben’s cottage in April. It’s a simple house, but comfortable and perfect for a getaway. The yard and farm are so lovely. We played with the yellow lab puppies, admired the horses, and enjoyed walking in the picturesque meadow and picnic area. It was all so peaceful. This is a way to understand, at least a little better, the lifestyle of the Amish, and their desire to make their relationship with God, their families, and their community central to their lives.
