If you’re in the Pleasant Plains area and you haven’t yet visited Bayleaf & Butterscotch, you are seriously missing out. This charming bakery, coffee shop, and brunch spot is run by one of the sweetest people you’ll meet—and it’s not just the atmosphere that’s warm, but the food as well. From the moment you walk in, you can tell this place is a labor of love. The fresh pastries are absolute perfection, and I’m talking about banana bread that melts in your mouth, flaky croissants that are a pastry-lover’s dream, and homemade pop-tarts that will have you questioning everything you thought you knew about this classic treat. The quiche is another must-try; you can tell they use the finest ingredients, and the flavors? Incredible! But it’s not just the food. The coffee here is top-notch (finall
Cute space with delicious, REAL baked goods! Real pastries! My peach coffee cake was amazing! (Lotus drinks can be made without caffeine!) Ordered a custom cake, too! We have plans to come back often! Excited to support a local bakery! Every foodie should head this way!
Stopped at Bayleaf & Butterscotch this morning on my way to work, and I have to say—what a treat! As a small business owner myself, I’ve watched this building change hands so many times over the years, and it’s been tough seeing so many places not make it. But these folks have absolutely outdone themselves. The cinnamon roll I had was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had (and my partner is an executive chef, so that’s saying something!). The pastries all looked incredible, my coffee was excellent, and even my pup was spoiled with a Pupcup she loved. This place has something really special going, and I truly hope they stay put and continue to succeed. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by. Go support this place—you won’t regret it!
Wow, what an incredible experience - the pastries were very fresh and the drinks were delicious! We had the pizza, strawberry poptart and the ham and Gouda cheese poptart - which we ended up ordering more of - such a great stop in Pleasant Plains! (:
We drove out of our way to pick up bakery items, (cinnamon rolls, banana bread, and peach pastries) for our Bed & Breakfast guests. It was well worth the trip. They loved everything! The cinnamon rolls were outstanding, my personal favorite! We also enjoyed a pastry while at the bakery and it was also delicious. The shop was very inviting, decorated with cute furniture and accessories. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy a coffee and sweet treat. The owner was very helpful and friendly. Thanks Taylor! We’ll be back!
