This bakery is absolutely AMAZING. From the moment you walk in, everything smells incredible and looks even better. The pastries are fresh, soft, and perfectly made — you can truly taste the quality in every bite. Not only is the food delicious, but the customer service is just as sweet. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and genuinely cares about your experience. Whether you’re grabbing a quick treat or ordering for a special occasion, this place does not disappoint. I’ll definitely be coming back again and again! Highly recommend!

Finally I do not have to go all the way to San Francisco to get great sourdough. Thi is the real deal made right here in Orland. Definitely worth the a visit

My wife and I have driven through Orland a hundred times on our way to or from Butte County. A couple of weeks ago we left the main street to do a little exploring and noticed Baxter's sign. The bakery was closed but the name says it all "artisan" and "sourdough". We made a note to stop on our next trip. WOW! were we not disappointed. A lovely tasteful interior with wonderful breads and pastries. The baker was running an errand but the assistant was so nice and helpful. Not only were the different breads delicious but beautifully carved. Like small works of art (If you are an artisan bread lover you'll know what I mean). Great care and attention goes into each loaf. What a gem stowed away on a side street in Orland. I highly recommend!

so glad to have this sourdough spot in orland. my husband, daughter and i have been going once a week and have been more impressed with every visit. the owner is very kind and informative, the atmosphere is lovely and the baked goods are absolutely delicious. all the bagels are amazing; the chocolate chip cookies, apple pie danish & cinnamon rolls are some of the best we’ve ever had. we’re excited to continue our weekly visits to try more of the menu & see how the business grows.

So.many delicious options! the breads and pastries are incredible and we love to pick up a little treat before we grab coffee and walk downtown.
