Baxter Memorial Library

My kids and I have enjoyed many Saturdays and evenings playing and reading and connecting with community. The children’s librarians have an encyclopedic knowledge of the books in their collection and are able to steer my emerging reader to just the right book with very little information. The available games, state park passes, telescope, and many other things to check out are wonderful as well.

Right next door to the Gorham Municipal Center ..nice quiet rooms available for those who request them…computers are also available for the general public…Baxter House next door….parks nearby…

The employees are amazing! They're the right amount of friendly (not hostile greeters) and I love to hear them laughing amongst themselves. They must really love what they do. This library has quite a few computers that are open to the public! The puzzle borrowing operation is great and I love the recent display of high schoolers art. The bathrooms are almost always clean (impressive considering how many children end up in the building). The ONE down side is I wish there were a touchless water fountain. Still 5 stars ♡ I'd give 6 but Google is a know-it-all
