Baumgart's Café

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and I’ve loved it every time. The sesame chicken is always a hit. The waiters even know us and our orders. The decor is so unique too, love the comfy booths and fun artwork. Don’t sleep on their ice cream either!

I finally decided to check this place out last Thursday. Food was great. I ordered veggie spring rolls with a chili sauce and Chicken & Broccoli with a brown garlic sauce. It's usually difficult nowadays to find a spot that makes this dish and other similar ones this good. Chicken was juicy and tender made just right. They do have just enough parking available behind the restaurant. The time I ate there was early afternoon so it was a nice relaxed setting. I wish the prices were a little lower. (Just my opinion)

Peanut Noodles cold or warm and the Sesame chicken with green beans are a STAPLE. Love always coming here and eating its easily one of my favorite places in Ridgewood to eat

My son wanted to try Baumgart’s tonight for dinner. Nicole, our server, was very nice, polite, engaging, and attentive. I had the Szechuan shrimp which was very good. My son had the sesame chicken which he said was also very good. Portions were on the larger side. I was very pleased with the dinner tonight. I would definitely go back.

Baumgarts has been my family’s favorite chinese restaurant for over a decade. Great food, great service, you can’t go wrong!
