Baum & Blume and The Carriage House

I can’t say enough good things about Baum & Blume in the Carmel Valley! Even though they were technically closed when we arrived, Deborah graciously served us a meal that exceeded all expectations. The cucumber soup with chives and fresh parsley was beautifully refreshing. The chicken was absolutely phenomenal, perfectly spiced and lightly dusted with flour for an incredible flavor and texture. The spinach and plum salad, paired with an amazing lemon glaze, was a delightful combination. The potato salad was flawlessly balanced, with the potatoes cooked to perfection. Each dish was prepared with such care and attention to detail. Dining at Baum & Blume felt like visiting family. We left happier than ever and can’t wait to return. This place truly deserves all the praise!

We had a great experience at this restaurant. The food was not only very tasty but the presentation was perfect. As a French I felt like i was in a French countryside brassery. The service was excellent.

We stopped by for a late lunch. The team was accommodating and genuine. I’m a dessert junkie, and loved the margarita cheesecake! The lentil soup & pop overs were amazing. Everything was fresh and clearly house made 🫶🏼

Stumbled into the carriage house layers on a late Saturday afternoon, and couldn’t be happier! Food and service were impeccable. We loved the popovers, meatball hoagie, spinach and artichoke raviolli, lentil soup, reuben quesadilla, and salmon burger! In fact we loved them so much we ordered the margarita cheesecake and coffee ice cream for dessert. The food was light, yet filling, and each dish had a flavor profile that was simultaneously familiar/nostalgic and unique. Can’t wait to swing by again!

This place is truly a gem. My husband and I were looking for a space large enough to fit our 25 person wedding rehearsal party in Carmel Valley but still keep it an intimate setting. Right away, a deliciously curated menu was brought together within 24hrs of contact. Decor and lighting was taken care of and made for a beautiful dinner. The food was amazing. It had all of the home-cooked dinner feel with the experience of a classic French bistro!
