I’m from DC where we are fortunate to have some of the best Ethiopian chefs and restaurants in the country. Tonight I ordered delivery from Bati expecting similar quality food like from back home but I couldn’t have been more wrong! I order the Ye Timatim Fitfit and the Ambessa (meat) platter and both were mind blowingly disappointing. The meat platter in particular barely had any meat in it. Each dish in the platter was extremely oily, poorly cooked, and had absolutely zero flavor!!! On top of being oily the Ye Siga Wot also had a watery taste which was just confusing. I don’t know if the owners of Bati decided as a business model to tame down the seasoning to appeal to a certain crowd, but their cooking is the most underwhelming, inauthentic, tasteless food I’ve had. Amazing food! come with ample amounts of patience to have a good time however. All the vegetarian options in the tasting menu were literally finger lickin good. Service is friendly but very slow and error prone. One person was running the bar and service for the entire restaurant on a Friday night however and it showed. Skip the cocktails, stick to basic drinks and great food and don’t come with limited time and you’ll have a really terrific time 💚💛♥️💙

Went on a chill Sunday night to experience some smooth jazz and rnb covers. Music was amazing and the crowd response matched. Food came out shortly after ordering. Every dish ordered was cooked to perfection. Staff was very friendly and extremely helpful with the ordering and serving of the food. Definitely would recommend. Ill be back for sure.

Very Authentic! We stopped by with out a reservation and got a seat. Very thankful it wasn’t very crowded on this night. But as the night progressed the place did fill up! (Make reservation) The area is up and coming and I actually got parking on the street around the corner. This was very convenient. I was with some meat eaters so they ordered meat dishes and I had the vegetarian option of course. They kept mine separate! Very happy they accommodated. Place was quiet and very open. It wasn’t cramped. Very clean Bathrooms. I must return to try this place again.
