TAKE A DETOUR TO EAT AT THIS PLACE. Writing this review after eating here twice. The best mouth-melting ribs I’ve ever eaten. The cheeseburgers were perfectly cooked. Very sweet people. Great portions. Value for money. High quality meat. MUST TRY!

Don’t let the size fool you - this tiny roadside shack serves the best brisket and ribs I’ve ever tasted. The brisket is smoky, tender, and melts in your mouth. The ribs? Fall-off-the-bone perfection with just the right balance of bark, bite, and smoky sweetness. No fuss, no frills - just unbeatable BBQ from a pitmaster who clearly knows their craft. If you’re within driving distance, go. Now. This place is legendary.

Real nice BBQ joint. Full service Friday-Sunday. Wednesday and Thursday is just sandwiches (refer to menu picture) Half rack of ribs were fall of the bone and i’m pretty sure it’s a house made BBQ sauce. Can’t go wrong here. It’s definitely worth a slight detour to experience this. I love these hole-in-the-wall side of the road type spots and this is hard to beat. Real legit Texas BBQ

I was driving back to the state park & was thinking a burger or barbecue sounds wonderful. Just happen to drive by & see the yellow sign, Basey’ smokin oak. People I wanna let you know I’ve been all over Dallas, Houston, Tyler and as a matter of fact, I make a pretty good burger myself! But this burger was at a different level and for $8 a wonderful value. If you’re close to Somerville, State park hit these folks you’ll experience genuine authentic people who make wonderful burgers. I’m stopping back tomorrow to get me some sausage and probably pork. I can’t wait.!!

Small cozy business. We tried the brisket and sausage. EXCELLENT! the potato salad and Cole slaw are delicious. We drove 9 miles to the middle of nowhere.... so worth the trip.
