Barrera's Kitchen

I had an excellent experience this past Sunday when I went to Barrera’s Kitchen. From the moment I walked in there was a friendly lady at the register who greeted me warmly. Then I was allowed to pick where I wanted to sit and she came back very shortly after to take my drink order. The service was very quick and efficient the whole time. The restaurant and restroom were both very clean. They also have a combination Greek and Mexican food menu which has many great selections! The food was amazing! I had a soft grilled chicken taco with a side of guacamole. The chips and salsa were very good as well! The prices are very reasonable. I would give a 10 star rating if I could!

Last time I was here was with previous owners...at that time, the quality of food was poor. Almost felt like it was reheated...and the service was awful. Made us feel as we were an inconvenience. My best friend just recently moved into the area and tried it under the new ownership....said food and service was good. Being she moved here from PA I hesitated but went for her. So glad I did...the service was amazing!!! Greeted as soon as I walked in, very freindly and checked on us throughout our lunch. Food was DELICIOUS the gyro was fresh, crisp veggies, soft bread and the yummiest chips topped it off.....so glad I gave it a second chance.....Ill be back!!

My wife and I decided to try eating here thinking it was a new restaurant. We quickly discovered that it is the same menu, the same cooks and the same terrible food as when it was called Alex's. The food is overpriced and not good at all. The ranch my wive received was very watered down and didn't taste like ranch at all. The service was very good but that is to be expected when there is only one other customer in the restaurant. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and we will not be going back as long as it's owned by the same people.

Underrated establishment. I drive 30 minutes from Winston to eat here when i want to get away. Food is very food A+++. You got to try it! - From a self proclaimed food critic

$10+ of food in this picture terrible prices not enough food drink are terrible I would rather just drive 30 minutes in any direction to go literally anywhere else I'll never come back
