The best hidden gem in Dawson,GA. A good friend from Dawson recommended this restaurant, bc we’re there only for Sunday church. The food is excellent, with great affordable prices. I ordered fried chicken, phenomenal ranch/lemon pepper fried okra, pork chops with sides. I wanted my family to sample it all!! ALL is/was fantastic. The staff is nice and pleasant, the owner Big Chris, aims to please and is very accommodating. You won’t regret it. May God continue to bless his business.

Now this is true, down south, soul, home cooking! Found this place on Google maps while passing through from Opelika back to Tampa. Will put it on our map for every trip through here. Owned and operated by a lovely family, who happened to be there and were so friendly. Best collards I’ve ever tasted!

Woke up Saturday morning and decided to drive 3 hours away to a farmers market we frequent when we are passing through on our way to Jacksonville. Today we decided to try a different restaurant than the one we normally stop at. We Google chicken and Big Chris popped up. I told my husband "I'm sure Big Chris got these neck of the woods on lock 😂we get there and customer service was A1! The place was clean and that's the first thing I noticed. We ordered our food and 20 min later she brings it to our car with a smile and some lemonade that they make in the restaurant. When I tell you good and refreshing! The food was so hot and delicious! Straight out the grease!! Couldn't touch it for at least 5 minutes 😭. Even the bread was fresh! This will definitely be one of our stopping point

Hands down the best catfish and oxtails I’ve had in my life! The atmosphere is quaint and warm, the staff are super friendly, and the food exceeds expectations. This place was the highlight of my road trip and will surely be a mandatory stop any time I’m in South Georgia.
