Bark Barbecue

We went right as it opened so the line wasn't too long. This was my first time trying Dominican food. The beef chicharron sandwich was good, very flavorful and salty. The barbecue sauces are delicious and also very salty. The maduros stole the show-- perfectly crispy and sweet. Ambiance at the Time Out Market was good, although the bathrooms left something to be desired (no toilet paper, sink didn't have running water, etc.)

The beef ribs are so good!!!! huge portions with tons of meat and incredible flavor. The mac and cheese is a solid 10/10. The queso Fritos (I think that’s what they’re called) were delicious perfect balance of sweet and salty. This place is located in Time Out, where there are plenty of food options, on the 5th floor. I wanted to try some other spots but I was so full after this meal!!!

On Saturday we arrived at this establishment for the second time and the line to get this delicious food was so long it was a testament to the quality of service you receive at this fast-food shop but will quickly see its definitely with a true home cooking feel at Bark Barbecue. Beyond its great tasting food is the staff that are fun lively and welcoming, it just feels like a piece of home. Now I was first introduced to this place by my 14-year-old daughter who found it on Instagram. This food is very flavorful the first time we visited it here back in like June of last year and just as savory melt in your mouth today 2.28.2026. Let me tell you that the line will be so worth your wait you. It is a little pricey because you are getting pure quality meats, yet that price won't matter to you

Absolutely love this place. Havent found a good bbq spot since I left baltimore for nyc. This one really hits the spot. Go for the brisket and get a side of the spiced rice and beans combo. Make sure to try both the spicy bbq and the regular bbq sauce. They gave me a free sample of chicharron but I just felt like its all crunch with too much fat, too little protein, and very little flavor.

Was really very pleasantly surprised at how good this place was considering its location. We had: rice & beans, 1/2 lb pork ribs & 1/2 lb smoked carnitas. Lots of pink, fell off bone, great seasoning. We couldn’t be happier. Has the added bonus of being right next to the Time Out Bar and the terrace looking out onto the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges.
