Barcar absolutely delivered an amazing date night experience. The service was outstanding from start to finish—attentive, friendly, and fast. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a night out. The food and drinks were just as impressive. The green beans were surprisingly one of my favorites—perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. And the espresso martini? Hands-down one of the best I’ve had. Great drinks, great food, and an overall fantastic experience. Highly recommend!

Came on a Sunday during brunch and national margarita day. Only one of other table so it was pretty dead. Ordered the “big gulp” for $10. Compared to my cup of water seemed like a joke. Maybe it was an off day? Off first impressions I don’t think I’d come back..

Didn’t make it in time for the full dinner menu, but the BarCar Burger was more than enough; juicy grass fed beef, caramelized onions, American cheese, everything-bagel brioche bun, and waffle fries with roasted garlic aioli. I’m normally a city girl at heart and I never really eat anywhere in Metairie. However, my boyfriend decided to take me here for dinner Sunday and when I tell yall I’m in LOVE with this place. The aesthetics, the vibes, and the service were all top notch. You get to pick your own table/section to sit in and they have a second floor balcony option too. In terms of the menu I love that it was small and simple. We got the spicy crispy tuna rice, tempura green beans, Barcar burger, half a dozen of oysters (three of the mon Louis & admiral), and the Timesaver. The spicy crispy tuna rice was A M A Z I N G. It tasted comparable if not better than sushi restaurants. The yuzu sauce is very soft and light but packs a punch. The crisp of the rice was just the perfect amount of crunchy that pairs well

A must-go, any time of day! The drinks, staff and food have all been excellent so far with fair pricing. I have come several different times and enjoyed everything I have eaten and drank! The tuna crispy rice was excellent and very filling. The tempura green beans are plenty to share. The happy hour and weekday deals like steak Wednesday and $5 martini Fridays will keep me coming back. My favorite part is the balcony where you can people watch, watch TV or train watch! The staff is also extremely friendly and were very accommodating. I am looking forward to trying their lunch menu, steak night and their soon-to-be late night menu. It is amazing to see the transformation from a previously disappointing place to a lively and delicious bar and restaurant.
