Bar del Monte is the kind of place that nails it with quality food and service, no glitz or glam needed. If you're more about great flavors than oversized American portions, this spot is for you. It’s the kind of place you could easily imagine in Italy. The pizzas are a solid 10/10, and the drinks are just as impressive. If you’re looking for a no-fuss, authentic dining experience with excellent food, this is definitely the place to be.

Love this place!!! Menu appears to change often if not daily. Nice little herb garden in back. The pizza was absolutely delicious, uniquely thin, and full of flavor. The porcini salad was wonderful. Nothing we ate fell short of our highest expectations. Two other unique things we appreciated: 1. No reservations. We went early and waited a small bit but 100% worth it. 2. No tipping. Prices already accounted for how they paid their staff a living wage. Will definitely be visiting again.

I really do not do reviews but this place was recommended by our air b and b host. The atmosphere is very sweet and staff is welcoming. The menu is very limited which is totally fine if the items you offer are amazing. We ordered the pasta but they had ran out by 7:45 in the evening. Two of us ordered rabbit and two ordered pizzas. The rabbit consisted of maybe 5 oz of meat that was not cooked properly for rabbit and two half pieces of toast, nothing else on the plate for $24. This would have been acceptable if the meat was cooked properly but it wasn’t. The pizzas were good, but again for the cost I could have gotten then somewhere else for much less.

Outstanding pizza and wow worth the hype! The dough was super thin, crispy and tasty. The lamb sausage pizza was truly one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. Toppings were perfectly balanced and top quality. Even better than 2amys! Laid back atmosphere with very attentive service. A DC gem

The food is fantastic! Absolutely love all the anchovy dishes. The service was pretty good. I felt a little rushed. It’s loud. It was a bit distracting to hear every word of a conversation two tables away. I like that they include the tip in the price of the food. Makes everything so easy and seamless. Overall, highly recommend. The food is that good.
