Bank Street Deli

TLDR: A hidden speakeasy gem in Fells with incredible cocktails, great vibes, and outstanding hospitality. Go before it becomes the next big thing. Bank Street Deli, also known as Highball, is one of the coolest speakeasy concepts I’ve experienced in Baltimore and it instantly reminded me of the hidden bars you find throughout NYC. The nondescript deli storefront is perfect, and the secret entrance behind the soda machine absolutely nails the speakeasy reveal. My group of eight stopped in on a Saturday right when they opened at 4pm and had the bar to ourselves. The bartenders were incredibly hospitable and quick with thoughtful drink recommendations. This is the front for a really cool speakeasy called Highball. The drinks are a bit pricey, but it's got a great atmosphere. Only small complaint was that the music was a bit loud - especially right near the speakers. It was not so easy to speak there.

Loved this place. Went on a Friday night at 6 and it was PACKED. Had to wait a while for a seat but so glad I stuck around. I will definitely be back soon.

What appears to be a normal deli, take one step behind a secret entrance and you’re taken to a hidden gem! Bank st deli houses an amazing speakeasy and what tops this bar is the phenomenal staff! Ian is so personable and friendly! We’ve been here twice and both times we have had a blast grabbing a drink and chatting it up with the staff. They do also have a food menu but I have not personally had a chance to check this out. This place is great for a large party or an intimate date and such a fun spot to check out if you’re looking for a new place to hang out. There is no dedicated parking lot so you should be prepared to parallel park or they do have some head in spots nearby.

My good friend and I visited here on their Grand Opening of the Speakeasy. The inside is fabulous, and the service is phenomenal. The food is average and overpriced, along with the drinks being overpriced also. It was an experience, but too expensive for my taste.
