Customer Reviews
We stopped by Bang Bang Noodles and it was a standout. We tried the Szechuan Garlic Noodles, Dandan Noodles, scallion Pancakes and dumplings, all delicious and full of bold, fresh flavor. The hand-pulled noodles have great texture and the flavors hit just right. Service was smooth and the casual outdoor space makes it a fantastic spot for a classic downtown LA lunch. Will definitely be back.
Read a lot of the negative reviews but personally we did not have any of the "issues" people complained about. We ordered the Szechuan Garlic noodles (dry) with lamb, the Dan Dan noodles w/ pork, cucumber salad and scallion pancake - everything was delicious and authentic. Noodles were freshly hand pulled and had great texture and bite. Sauce was flavorful but not over powering, overall we very much enjoyed the food. There's a slight wait but thats to be expected... hand pulled noodles are a craft, theyre pulled to order and not machine processed so it takes longer.
Had the Szechuan garlic noodles. Excellent noodles with so much flavor. The spiciness is hot but does not overpower the flavor of the dish. The restaurant has a walk-up window to order, with wooden tables in the back with some shade depending on the time of day that you go.
As someone who looooves biangbiang noodles, I thought these were decent. The Sesame Dan Dan Noodles were tasty, especially with the additional chicken. It’s not spicy, but still quite flavorful. I also enjoyed how the carrot and cucumber balanced with the sesame flavor. The Sichuan Garlic Noodles were okay, but we were not prepared for just how spicy it was. I don’t think I would recommend this unless your tolerance is super high! In my opinion, the spiciness took away from the rest of the flavors. Overall though, I thought the noodles were a bit too thick. They were also quite oily and and heavy on the sauce- we couldn’t finish either order. I think adding a bit less oil/sauce would make it easier to digest, if that makes sense! The service was alright, but the atmosphere was lacking a b
I just stopped by on a whim and was so surprised by how good these noodles were. The summer special was light and refreshing but still filling! The texture on the noodles was nice too. And to top it off the people there were so nice and friendly. I’ll definitely come back when I come up this area again!
