Bandana's Bar-B-Q Rolla

We had a hankering for some BBQ and this place was close, so we thought that we would give it a try. We were seated quickly and our server was excellent. They took our order, brought the drinks and food out timely. The food was tasty. There are a nice selection of BBQ sauces on the table to choose from.

So many flavors of BBQ sauces to choose from! The meat was delicious. Love the garlic bread. The service was so nice and friendly. I thought the sides could taste a little better as they had a canned taste.

If you’ve never had good bbq you’ll think this place is great. Otherwise find somewhere else. The burnt ends were terrible. They were so overcooked I couldn’t stab the meat with my fork. I could scrape the tines of the fork over them and hear the burnt crust on them. I found like three pieces out of the 9 oz dinner plate worth eating then asked them to take it away bc it wasn’t worth eating. To their credit they asked if I wanted something else and I got the pulled pork. It was 100x better than the burnt ends, but it was still sorely lacking compared to the KC bbq I’m used to. The waitress was very friendly and I felt bad for her she was overworked. She was the only one there waiting all the tables and running the hostess stand seating people.

Me and my husband went today around 1pm we have heard so many good reviews about this place, just for it to turn out to be a 1-3 star review. The service was sad as the place was NOT BUSY what so ever we have asked for water and didnt end up getting it. The food was dryer for a place to be called a bbq restaurant it is NOT worth it. The chicken was dry and the brisket we had was horrible. We had paid 5 bucks for a little bit of cheese on our potatoes when other places clearly charge 1.50 to 2 bucks. DEFINITELY DO NOT GO UNLESS YOU WANNA WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Overall, it's an okay place to eat. Went to Bandana's instead of going to Dickey's where my daughter has never been, Dickey's was super busy so we came to bandanas instead. I ordered the chicken sandwich and my daughter ordered the brisket melt. My daughter said the brisket melt was rubbery in some spots but overall was good, my chicken sandwich was really dry but I did order all white meat and we all know how easy it is to dry out white meat. Our server, after I finished my food I told her that the chicken sandwich was really dry and she said if I would have told her at the beginning she would have replaced it because it shouldn't have been dry, she was just outstanding, was the only server there and didn't miss a beat with all of the other customers, her name is Alicia.
