Bancroft Manor Bed & Breakfast

My husband, daughter and I had a fabulous stay at Bancroft after the Thanksgiving holiday. We come to the area annually but this was our first stay at Bancroft B&B. The owners were very friendly and engaging, the food was delicious, and the room was comfortable. The dining room and living area were cozy yet roomy and decorated beautifully for the holidays. Mike also gave us a lot of great recommendations for places we hadn’t been to yet to visit and eat in the area. They were very accommodating to our 6 year old daughter who has already requested that we stay there again next year!

We stayed in the Longwood Room, a room which is pleasant and sunny, with a comfortable king-sized bed. The bathroom could have been a little more modern, but it was adequate for our stay. It would have been preferable to have had cable TV, providing service that would be a bit more comprehensive. Innkeeper Mike & his wife Maggie are very personable and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious, and Mike took our preferences into account. The location is very convenient for the sights in the area, of which there are quite a few, with the highlight being Longwood Gardens, a short distance away. All in all, we would love to visit again.

We spent a weekend at the Bancroft Manor B&B recently and had a wonderful stay. The house has so much charm and is beautifully decorated; the rooms were so cute, clean and comfortable. The Innkeeper, Mike, is a terrific host, catered to our every need and was so helpful with restaurant suggestions and local activities. He also serves a delicious breakfast! I would definitely stay there again.

Our recent visit was for a special weekend getaway. The B&B was in a nice quiet area. Our host Mike was very nice and helpful providing us with lots of information. The house was nicely decorated, clean, and comfortable.We enjoyed sitting by the fireplace.The rooms were cozy, and both nights stay were relaxing and peaceful. Breakfast was delicious, prepared fresh each morning. We will return to visit some local attractions.

We really enjoyed our stay at Bancroft Manor. The accomodations were very nice and welcoming. The front living room area was very attractively decorated for the holidays. The host gave us helpful information about the Kennett Square area, and discount tickets to nearby Longwood Gardens. After returning from a cold night at Longwood Gardens, it was great to sit at the fireplace and warm our feet The breakfast was excellent, featuring mushrooms, which the area is famous for. We would definitely stay there again.
