Baltimore County Public Library - Arbutus Branch

The library staff here are very patient and attentive. When my children were younger, I often brought them to the children’s playroom. Now that they’re older, they still visit the library every month to borrow books. The library offers books not only in English but also in other languages, which is very thoughtful.

Nice library. Plenty of seating areas with tables. Kids section. Adjacent to a 50+ center and a gym. Has a drive through window and after hours drop slot. Has board games to check out and a good manga/graphic novel section.

The Arbutus Branch Library is an indispensable resource. 3D printer, kids area, computers, videos and of course books. A fantastic facility with plenty of community events. Plenty of parking a a really nice staff. Last time I was at the library was for a red cross blood drive. There is so much going on! Swing by and check it out, if you don't go to the library they won't get funding.

Love Arbutus library branch. The librarians are helpful. When my daughter was looking for information for a school paper, she went to ask the librarian for recommended resources. The librarian reserved books for her to pick up, along with printing out information from the internet for further research. My kids love the extra programs. (We wish there were more offered.) Plus, I am so thankful for the drive up window I frequently use to pick up my reserved books.

We like going for story time on Tuesdays. Mr. Anthony is hands down the best teacher, we really wish he would do it more often. The other librarians are nice but don’t put the same level of age-appropriate effort into making it engaging for toddlers. Anthony sings with recorded songs; has the kids use maracas, jingle bells, and scarves; and does themed story times with crafts often included. It would be great if the other librarians would follow the same structure, as our toddler loves story time and is very engaged when Anthony is leading!
