We love Bakey and always make sure to stop by when we’re in the neighborhood! The staff are kind, friendly, helpful, and so lovely to interact with, and the food is FANTASTIC. I also love that it’s mostly vegetarian so I never have to worry about accidental bacon in my egg sandwiches. 🧡
My partner and I stopped here on our way out of Quincy Market and grabbed a little sweet treat. We had a pistachio babka and a Boston cream babka. Both were delicious! Though the pistachio one was far superior...highly recommend giving them a try!
While walking around Quincy Market looking for something to eat, the first place that caught my eye was Bakey and WOW. They were giving samples of a pistachio baklava croissant (I might be getting the name slightly wrong, but trust me, you’ll know it when you see it). I don’t usually say this about food I don’t even have a favorite food, color, or movie but this might be the best thing I’ve ever eaten. Yes, I said it. And I never say things like that. It was flaky, sweet, nutty, perfectly balanced… I literally couldn’t stop talking about it. Customer service was fine, but honestly, I was too busy being amazed by this pastry to care. Also, $7 for that size? Totally worth it. If I’m ever back in Boston, I’m 100% going straight here for that croissant again.
If you looking for fresh bakery with savory pastries and fresh made babka, you must try this place. First store on right when you enter the Quincy Market. To top it off, coffee is fresh.
Great bakery with fresh pastries and sandwiches. I ordered the potato boureka and chocolate babka, both were delicious! I had to come back for more, so I got cheese bourekas (wow!) plus cinnamon babka, almond babka, and maple pecan. I haven’t tried the rest yet, but I’m sure I won’t be disappointed.
