First time customer and I have to say, this bakery is fantastic! I tried the spiced pie and oh my goodnesssss - so delicious! I love that these items are not overly sweet or drowning in sugar. Its a perfect balance of sweet, spice, and everything tasty! We also tried the pumpkin tres leches cake, snicker doodle cookie, ho-ho cake, lemon strawberry cheesecake, and carrot cake. All of the items we bought were super delicious. The cakes were moist and fluffy, the cookie was evenly baked, and the pumpkin tres leches was refreshing and had a perfect pumpkin taste with a wonderfully creamy whipped topping. Loved everything! Had my wife's gluten free bday cake make a couple days ago and yeah this place is amazing I also grabbed a couple treat bars they too were incredible. The two women that were working are very talented and friendly. I will definitely return

I grew up in south milwaukee and I moved back to find a great bakery with such friendly and helpful staff, an amazing atmosphere, freshly baked/baking goods and just an all around amazing vibe I really loved the place! They even had more affordable day olds yummy looking treat s!! So awesome

We used Bakehouse 23 to cater an adult party for 50 people. We had a variety of macaroons and dessert bars. Everything was delicious and set up exactly as we requested. Not only are the products and service excellent, but this small business often supports South Milwaukee by donating to public events. We appreciate the business, and their efforts to build community.

Great food, great variety for such a small space. The owner clarified for us the GF items are gluten friendly due to shared baking space rather than allergen safe - if this was different I think we’d be there everyday! Nonetheless, really nice baked goods.
