Bakaniao Colombian Food

Loved the food here. I've driven past this food truck daily always seeing a crowd. Good rich flavors made me feel like I was back in Colombia. Recommended the Maduro bakano for sure. Tried and arepa which was also great. Can't wait to return for different items next time. Friendly staff, good food, reasonable bay area pricing.

Spectacular and delicious Colombian food. Hubby and I wandered up to the casual set-up, it's a food truck with covered tables and amazing meals. The folks cooking were so nice, and food prep fast! We started with a hearty vegetable soup then ate our way through the rice with mixed meats plate. Chicken skin was perfectly crisped and seasoned, BBQ steak divine, and the sausage savory with a slight spicy kick. Definitely come check out Bakaniao to enjoy spectacular Colombian food in a chill no frills atmosphere. Cash only

Friendly guys with super tasty barbecue! I especially like the chicharron and the ribs. All the food goes down easy with their tangy sauces and bright lemonade. The weekend menu is all barbecue, and weekday evenings is all street food. I’ll have to come back on a weekday for some arepas!

I was craving Colombian food and decided to give this place a try. I usually cook Colombian dishes at home because most of the restaurants I’ve visited in the Bay Area are overpriced and don’t quite deliver. But this spot was a pleasant surprise—the food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable. Everything tasted authentic, and for a moment, I felt like I was back in Colombia. The empanadas were especially amazing! My husband and I also tried the arepas, and we are definitely planning to return to try their homemade lunches and the meat options. The menu is in Spanish, and the staff may not speak much English, but that shouldn’t be a problem—just bring a little patience, kindness, and maybe your phone for quick translations. Totally worth it!
