Bakalo is a gem. The food is bold, fresh, and thoughtfully done, and the portions are super generous for the price, which is rare in Miami. The fava dip was silky and bright, the crunchy sesame + walnut dip was addictive, and the Adana kebap had the perfect char and spice. The fire-roasted eggplant with Turkish meatballs was smoky, rich, and unforgettable. Dubai chocolate cake was unreal, and the chef even brought us an almond pudding to taste with tea, which was such a sweet hospitality moment. Great vibe, great value, can’t recommend enough.

Really enjoyed this spot. I’m a big fan of simple, clean food like Turkish, Persian, and Middle Eastern style grilled meats with rice, and this place does it really well. The chicken was flavorful, perfectly grilled, and not dry at all. The rice was simple but really good. What really stood out was the spicy sauce they serve on the side - it’s incredible and takes everything to the next level. If you’re looking for a solid, clean meal with great flavor and good vibes, this place is definitely worth checking out 🔥

Bakalo Mediterranean is an absolute gem in Miami! From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. You can tell they take great pride in what they do. The food was outstanding — truly authentic Mediterranean flavors that transport you straight to the Aegean coast. Their Adana Kebab is hands-down the best I’ve had anywhere — perfectly seasoned, juicy, and full of flavor. We also tried the grilled octopus, which was incredibly fresh and tender, and the Greek salad, which tasted just like the ones in Greece — crisp, vibrant, and full of flavor. A special mention goes to the Beyti Kebap; the presentation, flavors, and aroma are just amazing! Bakalo Mediterranean has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Miami for authentic, high-quality Mediterranea

Title: A True Hidden Gem – My Favorite Spot in Miami! I’ve dined at Bakalo twice now, and it has officially become my absolute go-to whenever I’m in Miami. It is a total hidden gem! The food is top-quality, incredibly fresh, and delicious, with generous portions that are hard to find elsewhere. Every dish feels thoughtfully prepared. What really sets this place apart, though, is the hospitality. The new owner, Chef Charles (Çağlar), is such a caring and kind person. He personally greets the guests and goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome, even offering free treats like Turkish tea and dessert that make the experience feel so special. The service is excellent, the atmosphere is cozy, and the overall experience is 10/10. If you want authentic flavors and genuine heart, do yourse

If you’re craving Mediterranean food with a Turkish twist in South Beach, this spot won’t disappoint. The lentil soup exceeded my expectations, the Mezze was so good, and the octopus was incredibly tender even my toddler could eat it. We also had the shashlik kebab with fries (highly recommended) and the Iskender, which we really enjoyed. Even the baklava was soft and juicy, not dry at all. Such a nice place ✨
