Bagels 1

I went to Bagels 1 for the first time a couple days ago. I purchased a veggies sub. It was delish! I must say I was truly impressed by their urgency I'm assisting their customers. Everyone behind the counter was extremely nice. Surprisingly the customers were also nice. It was if they knew it was my first time there. The customers explained away about how good the foid and service is. The bagels and muffins are huge! You get your money's worth. The fact that everything is authenticity baked and made on site is enough for me! The next day my sister and I went back because I bragged about my experience. Bagels 1 will definitely be on our go to restaurants list!

The food is fine (can’t say it’s packed with flavor; though I will say the bagels have always been great in the past) and the service is okay, but I think the real reason for the 3 star review is absolutely the “side” you get with your hot sandwich. (See photo attached). I realize it’s not extra cost, but I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a side in a condiment cup at any other restaurant.

I have mixed feelings on this place. On one hand, the chicken parm was delicious. On the other hand it took me 30 minutes to get it after ordering while waiting 10 minutes to order it. Mind you the place was not busy and there was plenty of staff. I just can’t see myself coming back with that kind of service, at least not regularly or to dine in. If the to go orders are reasonably timed I would consider getting that instead but I’m so put off from this experience that I won’t try again for a while.

It’s a shame reading past negative reviews. Went for bagels and pastries. They were very busy, but the lines and orders kept moving along, including special requests from many patrons, myself included. These requests were only met with a smile and not one “eye-roll”! Food is delicious and options are in abundance!

Bagels are fresh and delicious. The prepared dinners to take home are pricey but well worth it. Fast and friendly service. My favorite is the sausage fried egg and cheese on an everything bagel. The Italian cookies, cakes, and sweets are a must have! I also love there hot lunch Gyros, Italian subs, and platters.
