Bacio di Latte is becoming a fast growing chain with a few stores opened in LA and in a few other cities across California. This location in the heart of Santa Monica is their latest one opened. But don’t get me wrong, although they have expanded, their ice cream are staying absolutely delicious. My personal favorite is the Belgian chocolate one. You can try it in a regular cup, or get some Nutella or pistachio cream added to it for even more flavor. This location next to third street Promenade offers a few sitting area both indoor and outdoor. You will need to find to park in one of the nearby public parking or find your luck in the surrounding streets.

The ice cream was good, but the service was terrible. The Mexican girl working there had a really bad attitude, like she owned the place or didn’t want to be there. It honestly ruined the whole experience for me. I hope management seriously considers either addressing the staff’s attitude or improving service overall—because if not, I don’t see this location lasting long. I’d rather drive to Sawtelle, where the service is much better. It’s the same store and the same ice cream, but at least the staff there treats you with respect. Why would anyone want to spend money just to be treated poorly?

This is a superb ice cream shop where they make all their ice creams fresh each day and after their founders' traditional Italian recipes. I have to say, one of the best ice creams I've ever had and I love ice cream and am critical. This one is amazing - particularly the pistachio - in a beautiful and clean milk bar style ambience and friendly service.

Best gelato! Authentic and quality. Pricey, but worth every bit.
