You'd think in such a lovely and pleasant town like Babylon, especially off of their fantastic main street, the library would be a crown jewel. I've learned on several occasions it's the bottom of the barrel. The layout is so awkward and sporadic, and the acoustics are abysmal. The echoing voices are annoying and immediately cause sensory overload, which is no help when the staff and patrons speak at full volume, which is always. The worst is the children's; the workers in there are flat out nasty, for lack of a better word. They saw me walk in to look around, looked me up and down, and went back to talking without so much as waving or saying hi. Not only that, but they were openly badmouthing the pages EACH TIME I WENT. I love this library. A huge parking lot around the back behind the bank parking lot. The bank on Montauk Highway that is around the corner next to BP gas station. Nice atmosphere. Cool in the summer. They have 6 computers. But there is a one hour limit per day.

Never go to this library in the night shift, there is an old lady who is really rude, 0 attitude to work, is not willing and able to help, she told me yesterday that I CANNOT sit in there and read a book because I need a card for that, I runaway feeling so humiliated it, she was acting like she didn't understand me but her mate was looking her like "what are You doing?" I Will never go this place again
