Stopped in for a quick bite and had the place to ourselves. It was like visiting family, probably better than some.... I don't think anyone in my family can make homemade pickles like the ones we had with our hot dogs. Attentive service, delicious food, yummy ice cream.... Good old fashioned quality care. We are lucky to have a place like this in our community. Visit often, we all need more ice cream in our lives!

My girlfriend and I love coming here after a hot day at the park. Some of the best local ice cream in town at a very fair price! We will be back many more times 🍦

I gravitate to this eatery for lunch whenever I can. There is so much to like about the location, ambience, nostalgia, food, and service. Sitting outside on an open air porch amongst the surrounding greenery is wonderful. The only road noise is from St John and can't hear any traffic from HVL Rd. The homemade potato salad and pickles are a treat. Where else can one get a Ruben sandwich, side of potato salad and pickles, and drink for under $10. The food is served on plates with silverware. Carrot cake is a nice dessert to share. Left this time with a jar of pickles.

Family-style, family-friendly, family-owned ice cream shoppe. There are so many wonderful sweet options and huge cases of Hershey's ice cream. There is also a lovely lunch menu with Nathan's hot dogs, sandwiches, and salads. There is cozy seating indoors and lots of fun spaces outdoors to sit (or swing) while eating. This is a place that has something for anyone in your family. The staff is very kind and very helpful.

I have been going here ever since I was 3. I love the people who run it. I don't like that they had to move. However, I know it wasn't by choice.
